Dainty Queen

We used to call our beloved Sarah the Queen of the house. She was the epitome of wisdom, her eyes and calm presence exudes it. Fierce and dainty she was.

I invite you to welcome the mundane, the heartbreaks, the celebrations, and the tribulations we each experience in all aspects of our lives that we care about. Acceptance is an ongoing journey..we will find ourselves accepting the what IS and the what was over and over again.

When these embroidery pieces separate from the yards and yards of fabric, they become part of something bigger. Incorporating it in my paintings has elevated them and given them a new and everlasting purpose. Now they’re part of a story. With each shape added to a painting, it adds more depth, more texture, and curiosity.
